ECG

ECG is known as electrocardiography, With the help of ECG the electrical activity of the human heart can be detect. ECG test is commonly used for the testing of heart. ECG is simple test with electrodes are used to measure the electrical response for the human body. In ECG P,Q,R,S & T waves are present for the analysis of ECG signal. The data of ECG display on a paper. ECG signal of the healthy person have a characteristic shape. Any damage to the heart muscle of the human will change the electrical response for the heart so that the shape of ECG is changed. A doctor may advise to the people for the ECG the people who has the risk of heart disease. If the person has a chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting and fast or regular heart beats then doctor will recommend ECG test to the patient.

ECG Procedure

In ECG test there is no need to restrict food before having ECG test. When any person go for ECG test the person remove his upper clothing so that electrodes can be attached to the human chest. ECG test works well when the skin is clean and dry and free of oils. The electrodes are mainly known as the sensors that are attached to the chest and arms with the help of sticky gel. These electrodes detect the electrical current generated by the heart and this is measured and recorded by the electrocardiograph.

Human Heart

Human heart is a muscular organ in human body. The size of the human heart is equal to the size of fiat, just located behind and slightly left to the breastbone. Human heart pumps the blood through the areas of arteries and veins.

Human Heart

Four Chambers in heart

In human heart there are four chambers which are are described as follows.

  • Right atrium receives the blood from the veins and pumped into the right ventricle in the human heart.

  • Right ventricle also receives the blood from right antrum and pumps the blood to its lungs where it is loaded with the oxygen.

  • Now the left antrium receives oxygenated blood from the lungs and pumps to it left ventricle.

  • The left ventricle which is also known as the strongest chamber in a body which pumps the blood to the rest of the human body.

ECG Electrodes

ECG electrodes are the conductive pads that attached to the surface of human body. Every pair of electrodes can measure the electrical potential difference between the two corresponding location of its attachment. With the help of sticky gel these electrodes can be easily place and stick in human body. The sticky gel is friendly with human body and doesn't harm to skin.

Blood Oxygen Level

Blood oxygen level indicates the oxygen level present in the blood that follows through the arteries of the body. This blood oxygen level can we checked with the report of ABG test. For this pulse oximeter is used to detect the oxygen level in the human body. The oxygen saturation level of 95% represents the normal condition for most of the healthy humans. The oxygen saturation of 92% represents potential hypoxemia or deficiency of oxygen in human body.

Pulse Rate

The pulse rate is also known as the heart rate. It is a number of times that the person heart beats in one minute. The normal heart rate for the adults ranges between 60 to 100 beats per minute. The heart rate is slower when the person at rest and higher when the person exercise.

Body Temperature

Human body likea little surface that puts heat all the time. The temperature is mainly measure in human body in the form of Celsius and Fahrenheit. The normal human body temperature lies between 36.5 to 37.5 degree Celsius. From the body temperature fever can be detect easily. If the body temperature goes above 37.6 degree Celsius then the person has suffering from fever.
